Single and Happy
by RubyTuesday incan people be single and happy?
the older i get the more i believe that being single is the way to go.there are so many advantages.just to name a few;.
you can finish that college degree, go to the neighborhood bar anytime, do charity work, join a night class, stay out all night, flirt with anybody you please.

I have been recently divorced .....but I must say I am much happier now than when I was married. I must have married the wrong guy, I suppose.
I love my freedom..coming and going when I want, my place stays neat and clean, not relying on anybody for anything. Being alone opens up the gates for self-discovery. But, with that freedom comes lonliness too. Being held by somebody who doesn't really love you isn't the same as being held by somebody who truley cherishes you. That's what I miss the most. You can't beat true love with intimacy!
I'm very happy being single, but I'm sure if one is paired up with the right person one can be just as happy. I'm hoping to find that special someone...but I can live happily until I do.

famous jehovahs witnesses
by Rush inthis is my first post.. when i was still a witness myself, there were some perennial stories regarding 'famous' jehovahs witnesses or ex's.
does anyone know any truth or have any proof about the following: hank marvin, cliff richard and more importantly, the man who hit the gong in the 'rank' movies?.
if you have anyone of note you want to tell me about, i'd most appreciate it too.. cheers, rush.

JWS,
Yeah...I guess that's where all the curiosity comes from. But I guess I don't have to know what everybody else could get away with...I already KNOW that the ORG is full of a bunch of hypocrites!!
Lets all just love each other :)

?? I guess I just don't understand why everybody is soooo curious about who famous JW's are? What's the big deal? It's not like we should feel we have something in common, right? I'm not being a smart a@@.......I just don't get it.

lonliness, doormats and making friends
by SpiceItUp inhad a conversation today about how when people leave the dubs, or make any other major life decisions, that you end up being lonely.
all your "friends that you used to have are no longer there and you have to start afresh.
i remember when i was younger, right when i quit the meetings, i would do anything just to make people like me.

First of all, we must not let anybody have control over us. We shouldn't feel that we have to live up to anybody's standards....we must be true to ourselves! This is part of the JW thinking....letting others control us and pass judgement on us. To hell about what anybody thinks of us!!
If we are just ourselves, then we will attract people that are compatable to us. That means that we too should not pass judgement on anybody else.....what makes us so superior? Live and let live is what I say.
Just go out and meet people. If you are happy with yourself, then you will radiate this and you will welcome new friends. Just don't feel that you need to live up to anybody else's standards. We are free from that! Just be yourself without feeling you have to be somebody's door mat....because you are perfect just the way you are!

Eyebrow,
I would also recommend reading "Celestine Vision" I'm on the 5th chapter and I've found this book very enlightening. He sounds like a very bright kid with a spiritual quest....something that should be nurtured.
